What elements (Conventions) of the genre that you choose to base your final task on does this?
When watching this film something that I realized was common in thrillers is when the bad guy turns good. For example, when Timmy was originally a bully but as the movie progressed you were able to see the reason for why he acted that way. I also like the paranoia build-up, normally when watching a thriller there is always someone you suspect or something you feel is wrong that the main character tends to be right about.
What elements (Conventions) of the genre did the movie have that you like?
During this movie, I realized that while there is some paranoia built up the main characters often find themselves focused on something else rather than the plot. As for the effects found in the movie, I like it and I feel like it showed more realism than the first Craft movie. The costume change I also liked. When watching this movie from start to finish you could see the slow transition from beginning to end and how the costume changes also showed some character development.
What elements (Conventions) of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you?
For the main part of this movie, I liked the fact that the main villain was hiding in plain sight but for the scene that we would be doing I would want the main bad guy to be someone a bit more obvious to the viewer's perspective. Even though I did like some of the effects used in this movie I don't think there would be room to fit it in the plot of our scene. During this film when something bad or good was about to happen to the main group the sound used helps to alert the viewer of a possible action or reaction that was about to happen.
