Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 When completing this commercial I learned how to use the editing software CapCut. I learned the basics of editing on CapCut. Such as trimming down media, rearranging clips, adding clips of audio, and much more. While using CapCut I did not just learn the basics but also how to add transitions to my commercial. CapCut taught me how to smoothly add different transitions to each piece of media I inserted. Lastly, through CapCut I learned how to adjust the speed of my clips. Adjusting the speed of my clips added a more fast-paced storytelling mood to my commercial and with all the new things I learned, I created a great commercial.       Throughout the process of putting my commercial together, I learned how to improve my planning. With this commercial, I had to quickly but thoroughly go through editing software to find the perfect one for me. While I was attempting to quickly and thoroughly go through editing software I realized I needed to fig

Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 As I talked about in my last blog I thought I was pretty much done with my commercial. But I found a few pictures I wanted to add in. So I went back into Capcut and reviewed my commercial. After, I inserted my new photos into the commercial. I placed them in a specific order. In my commercial I made sure I placed all of my media in the order of oldest to newest. Now that I inserted my new media I first asked my parents to review my commercial. My dad thought my commercial was great. While my mom thought I should of tweaked the length of some of the photos shown. I made sure to remember her feedback. I continued by asking a few friends there opinions about my commercial before tweaking any of it. Two of my friends found my commercial great as it was. Two of my other friends thought I should adjust the time the photos were shown. Another friend helped me come up with an idea. That idea was to add a thumbnail to my commercial. The thumbnail wou

Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 Overall one of the next things I did next was review the whole commercial. I reviewed my commercial so I could make sure the media actually represented me. And I wanted to make sure that the message the commercial was showing about me, was something I felt, describing how I actually am as a person. The first thing I did when reviewing was to check all my photos. I checked my photos just in case of any issues. Thankfully I checked my photos because I found that one of the pictures had almost my entire face cropped out. Thanks to me carefully checking over it I fixed the photo and changed it to where you could see my whole face. Then I checked my videos. After reviewing my videos I discovered that a few of my videos weren't very clear and were very pixilated. So I removed them from the commercial and re-inserted the videos to see if this would fix the issue. Once I put the videos back into the commercial I checked to see if the videos were

Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 My process for creating this commercial was semi-long and very thought out. But I enjoyed it very much. As I stated in the last blog I started with finding the perfect editing software. Once I found the perfect editing software for me I inserted all of my pictures onto the software. Then I trimmed down the length of each picture to how long I wished to show them. Then I got my song and listened through it. After listening to it a couple times I chose what part of the song I wanted to include into my commercial. Then I inserted my song. After I replayed the commercial and made sure everything fit together. Once I saw how it turned out I decided to tweak a few of the pictures lengths and order. Once I got all my photos sorted out I worked on my video media. First I inserted all my videos. Then I cropped and moved around my videos to fit in perfectly with the song and photos. After I played it all together and made some final tweaking. After I

Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 To begin, the first thing I focused on when putting my commercial together was choosing which editing software to use. The wide range of editing programs available made it difficult for me to know where to begin when I first started putting my commercial together. I first looked into using VideoStar. I began by looking at reviews about the editing program. I also came across many videos that were edited using VideoStar. Once I started reading more of the reviews and watching more videos editing with VideoStar, I discovered that VideoStar was not the best fit for the type of editing I chose to have in my commercial. After I began looking for other editing software I came across Imovie. Just like VideoStare I first read reviews about Imovie and watched videos that were edited by Imovie. After downloading iMovie, I started playing around with the app and its features. While playing around with the app's features, I noticed it did not have t

Madelyn Argueta AICE Media Studies Period 6 In my opinion, choosing the media to use in my commercial project was difficult. Although it was difficult this is the process of how I chose my media. I started by gathering all the photos I had of myself and I put them all on a USB. Next, I eliminated all the bad-quality pictures. Then I sorted the pictures by year. As I sorted them by year I tried to choose one from each month of that year if possible. Once I had around one picture from each month throughout the years I started sorting through them and narrowed them down. I narrowed them down by choosing my favorite pictures. These pictures were the ones that I felt explained me and my life the most. As for the videos my process was pretty similar to how I chose my pictures. My process of choosing them was by first eliminating the bad-quality videos. Then I sorted my videos just like my photos, by year. Then once I had sorted my videos by year I chose a few videos from each year. After th
