Production Blog: Final Adjustments!

Hello everyone,

Today I started wrapping up the editing for my music video. The first thing I did today was crop some of my scenes because my music video was too long. Due to timing problems, I had to cut out a few parts of the Justin Bieber dancing scenes. The next scenes I had to crop were the escalator scene, the running scene, and some of the other outside scenes. By cropping, adjusting, and cutting these scenes it helped me decrease the length of my music video. Then I ended up having to download an app to download my music. After downloading the app to download my music, I proceeded to have issues with the audio. The first time downloading the song, the audio was inaudible. The second time the audio was barely audible. Then finally on my third try I got the music to be at a good volume. After I fixed everything with the audibility of the song, I had to adjust the song to my clips, so it fit in with the scenes. But once hearing the order of the song I decided to rearrange my clips to a better order that fit the timeline of the song. After that, I decided to get my song and slowly increase the volume of the song as the music video slowly fades in. I also decided to get my song and slowly decrease the volume of the song as the music video slowly fades out. Another shot I decided to add in while editing was a split screen. Because of my time limit, I had issues with deciding what scenes to cut out. So, I decided to add in some split screens of scenes that went together. For example, the scene where Justin Bieber and the love interest are having a conversation. Saving time was not the only reason I decided to add split screens. I also decided to add split screens because it fit in well with my music video and so the viewers could see different perspectives of the story at once.
