Production Blog: Production Schedule/ decisions made!

Hello everyone,  

Although I have not begun filming, I have everything ready to begin the process of filming. I will begin filming on Saturday October 21. I have decided to film on Saturday because the weather conditions are in my favor. Also, all the actors in the music video can all come on Saturday. Additionally, if filming is not finished on Saturday, I will wrap up the last bits of filming on Monday October 23. On Saturday I plan on having the actors rehearse the scenes for about an hour before shooting. This will help the scenes go smoother and seem more natural. Then I will begin filming and film as much as I can before any issues arise such as weather conditions and timing issues. Prior to filming I have completed my storyboards for my music video. My storyboards were developed from the mood of the song’s lyrics and from my research of other similar songs from the same genre. By looking at the song's lyrics I was able to think of a general music video idea. I was also able to come up with a power struggle from the lyrics. So, I wrote down my general idea and improved it as I came up with other ideas and as I was doing my research. But my idea of incorporating sunglasses and a hat into the costume design of Justin Bieber was inspired by the artist's own personal style during that time. So, I thought it would be fun to incorporate something about the original artist that wasn’t necessarily in the music video of the song I chose. I have also decided to use the camera on my iPhone to film my music video. I was contemplating on borrowing a professional camera but ultimately decided to use my own iPhone camera. I decided to use my own iPhones camera since I am more familiar with my own phones' camera, and I know how to adjust settings such as exposure on my own camera. And this would make the filming process much easier. All in all, I am so excited to see my work come together/to life.
