Hello everyone,

This week I continued my filming. I continued my filming on Tuesday! My group didn’t end up using any of the takes from Saturday due to the fact of a change in cast and costume. On Tuesday I was very productive and ended up filming my whole music video in one day. On Tuesday I filmed both the scenes I had previously filmed on Saturday and the new scenes I hadn’t gotten to yet. On Tuesday my filming went by quicker and smoother than Saturday. I first filmed all of the retakes and I quickly finished those scenes because I already knew what to do for the scenes when it came down to angles and positioning the actors. Then I filmed the scenes that I didn’t film on Saturday. These scenes took me a little longer because I had to spend some more time thinking about the angles, lighting, exposure on the camera, and where to place the actors. Overall I finished my scenes smoothly and at a faster pace than Saturday. One thing I learned when filming was that it can get a little tricky when filming next to a window because it messes with the lighting. For one scene I filmed I had to place an actor next to a window but it made her face sort of blurred/foggy. So I moved the angle of the camera and adjusted the exposure to fix the lighting. This significantly improved the lighting in the scene and made the take look clearer. When filming I decided to add some more props to my music video for certain scenes to help them emphasize the message I was trying to give. The props I added to my music video was a plate of dessert, drinks, a plate of food, a straw, and backpacks. Lastly when filming I had to do a few retakes of certain scenes because I couldn’t get certain takes of all the actors playing their roles seriously. Some scenes a certain actor would be distracted or not paying attention which cause me to re-film certain scenes multiple times. This filming experience has taught me that filming can take longer than I had originally thought due to different circumstances. But overall the filming of my music video was fast, fun, productive, and educational!
